The Design Process

The wedding cake design and cake sampling process has to be one of the most decadent aspects of wedding planning!

 

Your design consultation can be held either virtually or face to face at The Couture Baker kitchen in Billericay, Essex. Each consultation of up to 1 hour is for two participants and during this time you will be able to talk through your cake design requirements in depth and any exciting details of your wedding day.

 

You will be able to order a sample box of 5 chosen cake flavours in advance, to be taken home or posted. Collection sample boxes are £25.00 or £30.00 posted next day delivery. These amounts are redeemable against your wedding cake order. Additional samples outside of this limit will be charged at £5.00 per flavour.

Having obtained a degree in Fashion Design, I am very passionate about the design process and making each cake stylishly bespoke and personal to the customer by working closely with you throughout this delicious process. We listen to and design towards your requirements and design vision in depth. The design possibilities are endless and I will expertly guide you through these in accordance to your vision. Some couples like to bring along cake design imagery, pictures of their flowers, event invites, garments and anything that could potentially help to inspire the cake design. It may be that you have a pretty good idea of your dream wedding cake prior to the consultation however this is not a requirement and after speaking with you I will have gained much inspiration which will enable me to sketch out a range of bespoke designs to bring your ideas to life on paper. We are here through every step of the process and look forward to creating something deliciously focal on your wedding day.
